Joey G started his career in Brooklyn, New York City. After he worked as a photographer's assistant for local photographers, he fell in love with the field. In his early years, he worked as a printer in a color lab called Sunshine photo which was located on 13th Avenue in Brooklyn, then drifted into printing black and white photos in a Photo lab in New York City called BLITZ photography. Joey is well-versed in darkroom techniques and creating black and white portraiture. Eventually, the negative labs started fading and the new world of digital photography took over. Joey is now a full-fledged digital photographer! Never forgetting his roots, some pictures in his portfolio are old enough to actually be prints made from negative film. The world has changed, photography has changed – but the fundamentals of posing, lighting, and creating a portrait remains the same. Joey G's photography is the result of years spent learning and perfecting his craft. Photography lighting takes years to master and Joey G has them covered.
