Photography portfolio: weddings, mitzvahs, families, portraits
The art in the world of photography is trying to capture the essence of your subject. Everybody has a color that represents who they are — some people are bubbly, some people are funny, and some people are very serious. Capturing that essence is always the goal. About 1,500 images, every one shot by me — some printed by me, in a darkroom, from film.
There’s an incredible feeling in a photographer’s heart when he captures that perfect picture—that magical moment when everything comes together and the image inspires him. It’s the feeling of knowing he didn’t just take a photograph; he captured something unique, something with vision, creativity, and emotion—something that, with all due respect to Tom in Accounting, his cell phone camera simply can’t capture.
You are not a photographer because you own a camera, you are a photographer because you understand light and how it is used to capture the brilliance of a unique subject.
